Message and Resource Management

Message and resource management. It is the core of the monitoring solution. Let Robot/CONSOLE automate message handling. The reaction can depend on the time of the day, the application, the user etc. Robot/CONSOLE can also proactively monitor your system resources, e.g. existence of a subsystem, or a job, and check the job queue depth, total CPU& and job%. You define when and how a reaction is needed.

Notification Management

Robot/ALERT sends 2-way pager and e-mail messages in reaction to events on the system or from your programs. Use Robot/ALERT to notify an operator if your iSeries needs assistance, and let the operator send the answer back to your iSeries.

Network Management

Robot/NETWORK, our iSeries network control software, monitors your network for events that need corrective action. It distributes operating instructions for our products to network systems automatically.

IP-Device Monitoring

Robot/TRAPPER receives SNMP event notifications (traps) from network devices, converts them into iSeries messages, and checks the status of your network devices and applications at preset intervals. As Robot/TRAPPER plugs into Robot/CONSOLE, all event messages are reported back to Robot/CONSOLE's message center and thus enables central enterprise monitoring management.

Client Monitoring

Robot/CLIENT creates an operations automation team out of your iSeries and your non-iSeries servers. A client event manager, it integrates Windows, NT, and Unix servers into your iSeries procedures seamlessly. Automate upgrade of Windows software on all attached PC's and servers.

Disk Space Management

Disk space management. Robot/SPACE can monitor all objects, critical jobs, your ASP's and iASP's. With the critical storage investigator you can define special growth threshold values or maximum sizes to look out for, and demand notification.

Dynamic Tuning and Performance Monitoring

Robot/AUTOTUNE monitors and tunes your system for maximum performance. Set tuning priorities and Robot/AUTOTUNE continuously tunes the iSeries using the techniques you would use if you had the time.
