Power Outage Management
Robot/UPS manages the iSeries during power failures and does an orderly shutdown before battery power runs out. The start up after a power outage is also controlled, letting the IT department alone come on to the system first.
Notification Management
Robot/ALERT sends 2-way pager and e-mail messages in reaction to events on the system or from your programs. Use Robot/ALERT to notify an operator if your iSeries needs assistance, and let the operator send the answer back to your iSeries.
