PowerTech now part of Help/Systems group

PowerTech was acquired by Help/Systems a couple of years ago, and SOSY is therefore a reseller of the PowerTech product suite. Having discussed security concerns with many of our users over the years, we are happy to be able to provide the PowerTech suite.
 

Brief overview of the main PowerTech security solutions

Use the solutions from PowerTech individually or all together depending on what security tools you have in place already. Please find a brief description of the three primary security solutions from PowerTech below.

• Compliance Monitor will give all details regarding security status of your System i. In other words Compliance Monitor gives the full details whereas the free security analysis gives the headlines. • Authority Broker will help you manage powerful users on your system. Hardly anyone needs *ALLOBJ all the time. Typically far too many users have this authority. With Authority Broker you can make sure that people have the right authority at all times by letting users swap into the needed authority at any time, or specific times of the day and week etc. Complete documentation from Authority Broker can be fed to Compliance Monitor for central overview.

• Network Security is the firewall product within the PowerTech product suite. With Network Security you define who is allowed to do what in terms of sending files away from your system, importing files into the system, use Telnet or FTP etc. etc. Network Security can be as granular as you like, as you can even control the activities at the file level.
