Welcome back to SOSY INFO!

SOSY has just participated in the annual Data3, Swedish Common, conference. As always it was three busy conference days with many visitors at our exhibition, speaker sessions, and games at the expo evening. On top of this we were honoured with the first Expo Award at Data3. SOSY was elected by more than 50% of the voters as “Exhibitor of the Year”. Having been at every single Data3 conference for the past many many years, it was very positive that the delegates gave SOSY such overwhelming support.

The next Common conference that SOSY will be participating in is the German Power Society Conference in Bonn on November 13-15. Here we will also be present with a booth and there will be two sessions related to SOSY's performance analysis and monitoring tool GiAPA. We look forward to revisiting the German Common conference with our collegue from SOSY Deutschland, Alfredo Battisti.

The general focus this autumn is monitoring, performance, and process automation for software development and test. Literally all our contacts with existing and new users fall into these four categories. Many companies need to optimize operations within these areas to live up to compliance regulations or tighter management requirements due to enhanced competition.

We are there very pleased this SOSY INFO has news within all four areas mentioned above. First we can announce a brand new main release of Robot/CONSOLE now offering a full explorer to enhance the overview and user friendliness of the tool. Secondly we are launching our new free service offering, our performance X-ray, based on data collection by GiAPA. The performance X-ray can tell you, if you have jobs on your system requiring too much performance.

Thirdly we are introducing a brand new configuration management tool for the database for software development from Aldon. From the testing world we are sharing information from recent surveys regarding the importance of software testing to ensure proper software quality.

Last but not least we have picked out a couple of favourite functions in Robot/SCHEDULE which can help all our Robot/SCHEDULE customize the scheduler to their needs for external access to the tool and forecasting.

Enjoy! If you have any questions regarding these topics, don't hesitate to contact us at sosy@sosy.dk.
