Welcome to SOSY INFO September/October 2007

We hope you have enjoyed your summer!
 
This autumn is an exciting time for SOSY. We are getting VERY positive feedback on the new Robot/SECURITY, we have just closed our first order on Aldon Lifecycle Manager, we have multiple test cases developing, GiAPA is being prepared for Java analyses, and IBM have bought DataMirror!!
 
Help/Systems have already sold their first Robot/SECURITY licenses, and SOSY has multiple trial cases developing too! The System i users really find Robot/SECURITY an interesting alternative and solution for the crucial security issues to be handled in order to satisfy the increasing demands from both management and external IT auditors.

At SOSY we look forward to working more with Robot/LPAR as many of our users have partitioned boxes which can take advantage of the new Robot/LPAR to optimize the memory and I/O devices on their systems.
 
Two weeks from now we will be attending the large annual Data3 conference (Swedish Common Group) on October 14-16, and we look forward to presenting our new booth reflecting all the changes that have taken place at SOSY, meet with Swedish users and contacts, and present on security and secure data access. Our new Swedish collegue, Carl Schnell, who is SEQUEL product manager and Robot and GiAPA sales representative in Sweden, will be going to the conference to meet our many contacts in Sweden.
 
During September we have started presenting our change management solutions from Aldon to our old TurnOver users, and several have expressed sincere interest in Aldon's solution and the migration tool which Aldon is busy developing. We look forward to continuing these discussions.
 
We have also converted our first Pathfinder users to ABSTRACT and more have confirmed that they want to follow in that path too.
 
Finally we expect some interesting discussions regarding not only test automation, but even optimization of manual testing. So much time and effort can be saved by implementing TestDrive Assist which provides automatic documentation on-the-fly!
